Quite a fright!
Today while I was in the office I heard this tremendous BANG!!!! outside. I was sure it had to be some idiot hunter discharging his gun at one of my dogs in the yard. I ran outside and found that all the dogs were just fine, but a hawk had flown right into the glass window in the screen door and was lying on it's back on the step twitching, while the dogs were barking at it - positive that this was some sort of covert attack on the house and property I'm sure. Anyway, it died a minute later, I guess it had broken it's neck on impact. I don't know why it would have flown into that window - it has a blind on it, so it should be obvious to any bird that it doesn't just continue to more outside. And a hawk? We've had a few tiny birds hit the living room window over the years, but never anything this big. Poor thing.

Trying Blogging
Hi, This isn't likely to be an every day thing, but we'll see. :-) It's been a disappointing year for showing our dogs. I've only been able to enter two shows so far. The first one my entries never arrived. Bummer. For the 2nd they arrived, but due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to attend. Very disappointing. Hopefully next year will be a lot better. You see we had a litter in January, and we kept a lovely little grey bitch. Well, she's not grey yet, but she's well on her way now. Her call name is Phoebe and she's an absolute darling. Her temperament is to die for, and she's beautiful too (at least in my humble opinion) so I had really wanted to get her out as a puppy. But it just wasn't to be.
